The registration fee of $40.00 is non-refundable. The registration fee grants you access to complimentary packing supplies. It is important to note that this fee does not go towards any storage costs.

Boxes, Totes, Suitcases, Duffel bags and trunks all are subject to a $100.00 overweight fee in addition to storage costs if they exceed 50lbs.

After pick-up, an electronic pick-up ticket/invoice is sent to the billing email. Carefully review the inventory ticket, including pictures and descriptions of all items collected, and report any inconsistencies to USS immediately. If any discrepancies are not promptly reported to USS within 24 hours, we will be unable to address and resolve the issue.

The storage fees will then be automatically charged to the card you used during registration immediately after we have collected your items. The cost of storage depends on the number of items you decide to store. In the event that your card is unable to process the payment, we will send you a text and email with a payment link. 

  • Storage items are stored for 4-month minimum term. This calculation is determined by the month in which we collect the items until the month in which they are returned.
    • Items typically cannot be retrieved at any point during the 4-month term. If your student needs to return early for reasons such as sports commitments, residential assistant training, or work obligations, please reach out to us for assistance.
    • If you choose to have a Mid-Summer delivery while attending Tulane University, please be aware that this does not reduce the cost of your storage. The cost of your storage is determined solely by the number of items you choose to store.
    • We do not bill on a month-to-month basis.
  • It is the student or their guardian's responsibility to carefully review the pricing details.
  • To avoid any additional charges, it is crucial to review the pricing page for your University. Please note that items such as boxes, bags, totes, trunks, or suitcases must not exceed the 50lb weight limit. Going over this limit will incur a fee of $100.00 per overweight item, in addition to the storage cost of each item.
  • If storage fees remain unpaid for 30 days, the account is marked as a donation due to non-payment. We kindly ask for prompt payment to avoid this situation.

AUTO-CHARGE AUTHORIZATION:

By accepting USS terms and utilizing USS Storage services, the Customer agrees to authorize University and Student Services to automatically charge the Customer's provided credit card for all charges related to the Services, including but not limited to storage fees, shipping fees, additional fees, and any other applicable charges. This auto-charge authorization shall remain in effect for the duration of the Customer's use of Storage services. The Customer acknowledges that their credit card will be automatically charged on the due date for all outstanding amounts owed to University and Student Services, for any storage and applicable fees. In the event of a failed auto-charge attempt due to expired or invalid credit card information, USS’s inability to receive credit card authorizations, or any other reason that prevents USS from receiving payment for the Services, the Customer agrees to promptly update their payment information and ensure that USS is paid for the services and any additional fees. Failure to do so may result in a delay in the delivery of the Customer's possessions, additional fees, or the transfer of ownership to USS as stated in Section 6Failure to Pay Storage Fees. The Customer understands and agrees that they are responsible for any charges incurred on their account because of the auto-charge authorization, and they will not hold USS liable for any overdraft fees or other charges imposed by their credit card issuer or bank due to insufficient funds or any other reasons. If the Customer wishes to revoke the auto-charge authorization, they must provide written notice to USS at least 30 days prior to their next scheduled billing date. Revoking the auto-charge authorization may result in the termination of the Services and may subject the Customer to additional fees and penalties as outlined in these Terms and Conditions. By continuing to use USS services and accepting these Terms, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the auto-charge authorization clause, as set forth above, and authorizes University and Student Services to automatically charge their provided credit card for all applicable fees and charges.

  • The pick-up dates will be closed 48 hours in advance unless all available time slots are filled prior to that. Once all the time slots are filled or the date is closed, we regret to inform you that we will be unable to accommodate any further requests for that specific date and time.
    • Mid-Summer pick-ups are unavailable unless otherwise stated on the scheduling form.
      • If the date is not listed on the scheduling form, we do not offer it!
    • Whether you're currently living on-campus or off-campus, we absolutely need you to be present for the pick-up!
      • Students attending Tulane University are exempted from the requirement to be present during pick-up.
  • No hidden fees! Every possible fee a student could potentially incur during pick-up are listed upfront on our website!

Delivery information will not be accessible on our website until mid-July. However, rest assured that we will promptly notify you of the dates via text and email as soon as they become available for viewing!

    • Students residing on campus are not required to be present for delivery. Your university staff will coordinate the delivery process to ensure that all items are safely placed in your room before your arrival.
      • Fraternities and sororities must plan and schedule a delivery date.
      • Students who reside off campus in an apartment or house will need to make arrangements and select a delivery date.
  • Delivery during the Fall or Spring (in case you decide to extend your storage) is offered at no cost as long as your location is within a 2-mile radius of the University. However, if your location falls within a distance of 2-5 miles, an additional fee ranging from $200.00 to $300.00 will be applied.
    • Northeastern's radius is 1-mile from the University!
  • No hidden fees! Every possible fee a student could potentially incur during delivery are listed upfront on our website!

  • I need to extend my storage. 
    No problem, we store for 4 month terms! If you need to extend past August, the items will remain in storage from August - December. Please just email us at info@uandss.com.
  • Is your facility climate controlled?
    Yes!
  • Can I change my Pick-up / Delivery Date?
    If you are needing to change your date, please email us at info@uandss.com. Dates are first come first service, we cannot guarantee the date you want will be available. Once dates have reached capacity, we cannot alter it. 
  • What is included in your packing supply kit?
    5 heavy duty boxes, 18x18x24 in size and 1 roll of packing tape! If any additional boxes/tape are needed you can purchase more from us at our haand-out locations.
  • Do we have to use your supplies?
    No, you do not. You can utilize your personal duffel bags, suitcases or bins if you'd like. Please just be mindful of the items that have a weight limit of 50lbs to avoid being charged a $100.00 overweight fee.
  • Can I schedule a specific time within the chosen time frame?
    Scheduling a specific time within the chosen time frame is not an option.
  • Do you contact us before arrival or just show up?
    We will contact you 15-20 min prior to arrival. Please make sure you are watching your phones to avoid any potential reschedule or reroute fees ($40.00 - $75.00).
  • Do you offer short-term storage?
    The availability of short-term storage options varies by University. However, it's important to note that our pricing structure is based on the number of items stored, not the duration of storage. Please contact our office to verify if we are able to offer short-term storage for your University.
  • I left something in my boxes, can I go get it?
    We have a strict policy that does not allow individuals to access our facility under any circumstances. So, it's important to be mindful of the items you pack up and make sure you have everything you need before we pick up your belongings!
